A great way to improve your sailing or prepare for racing is to run short, timed courses. And…practice, practice, practice! Each month is another chance for OCSC members to race the clock through a challenging set of maneuvers.
Simply reserve a boat for the scheduled date (be sure to say that you are doing Timed Circuit Racing when you book!), assemble a crew, and then get fired up to race. We'll have a course set up with a committee boat to start you, record your times and offer suggestions for improvement. You can rotate your crew to see if you post better times, or challenge another boat to beat your best time. We'll have a pre-race briefing beforehand and a full debrief back at the club afterward to talk about techniques and strategy.
